Welcome to mamahood
Motherhood is messy, overwhelming, and full of questions no one warns you about.
Thoughts like “Am I doing this right?” and “Why does it feel like I’m never enough?” are more common than anyone admits.
That’s why I created this space for moms who love their kids fiercely but still feel unsure, stretched thin, or like they’re barely keeping up.
So, whether you’re navigating newborn life or you’re years into motherhood and still struggling to come up for air, you don’t have to do it alone. Here, we quiet the mental noise, make space for you, and help you feel grounded in both the mom and the person you’re becoming.
At Mamahood Counselling & Coaching, I offer two ways to support you:
- Counselling to explore the roots of your anxiety, guilt, or overwhelm and give you tools to feel lighter and more supported.
- Coaching to focus on practical strategies for setting boundaries, protecting your energy, and building confidence in your daily life.
Both happen virtually, so you can access support right from your own home — no commute, no added stress, just a safe space for you.
Ashley’s Story
I’m a mom fo three, a therapist, a coach, and someone who knows how hard it can be to protect your time, energy, and space as a mom.
Early on, I struggled to say no, even when I knew I didn’t have the energy. I felt guilty setting limits with family, friends, or even my partner. I hated turning people away, letting them know I needed help, or saying I didn’t want them holding my baby. I worried it would look like I didn’t know what I was doing, or that I was failing somehow.
Unsolicited advice felt overwhelming, and I hated being pushed into decisions that didn’t feel right for me or my family. I didn’t know how to respond without feeling guilty, aggressive, or harsh.
But over time, I got really clear on what my boundaries were and how to say them out loud. I learned how to handle pushback in ways that felt firm but loving, standing my ground without feeling like I was being “mean” or “difficult.” I started noticing the relief, the confidence, and the space it created for me, for my family, and for my joy in motherhood.
That’s why I do this work.
I help moms figure out their own boundaries, speak them with confidence, and navigate pushback with kindness and clarity so they can mother on their own terms without guilt, overwhelm, or resentment.
Meet Ashley Hyndman
I’m a mom of three and a Registered Clinical Counsellor with over 13 years of experience. I work with moms who want to trust themselves, set clear boundaries, and navigate the challenges of motherhood with confidence. My approach is practical, compassionate, and tailored to what you actually need in this season of life—no fluff, no “perfect mom” rules, just real support that works for you.
When I’m not holding space for moms, I’m usually walking with my kids, brewing a cup of tea, or curled up with a romance novel in a cozy corner of my home. I believe in rest, warmth, and real talk — and in creating a grounded space where you can show up exactly as you are.
